MetroStyle Web POS ASP.NET MVC
MetroStyle Web POS ASP MVC is a web-based application that I developed in ASP.Net MVC and MySQL as the database. It has a modern look design just like the MetroFramework Modern UI POS. MetroStyle Web POS can be considered as the Web-based counter part of the MetroFramework Modern UI POS which I posted in MetroFramework Modern UI Project.

It was a great experience developing this application. I have encountered a lot of issues but still manage to find a way to solve it. The printing of the receipt is one of it. Is is a little bit tricky cause I cannot find a way to automatically print it from the page. I decided to print the receipt it on code behind which prints directly coming the server. This is not advisable if you are going to deploy a web application on a cloud server.
To make my life easier on the design I used bootstrap with metro style design called Metro Bootstrap
Metro Bootstrap is derived from Twitter Bootstrap but comes with a MetroStyle
Bootstrap is a free and open-source front-end web framework for designing websites and web applications. It contains HTML- and CSS-based design templates for typography, forms, buttons, navigation and other interface components, as well as optional JavaScript extensions. Unlike many web frameworks, it concerns itself with front-end development only.
MetroStyle Web POS can scan barcodes when used on any Android device. You just need to install the Barcode Scanner app in order to use the camera as a barcode scanner.
